For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. Truth is under attack by secular society. We built something to defend it.
Since 2021, we’ve watched an attack on truth play out in real time. Young men are being told, by their schools, their screens, and the loudest voices in the culture, that their instinct to lead, to protect, and to stand firm is something to apologize for. Boys are praised for being passive and shamed for being strong. Observable reality itself appears to be negotiable, and stating plain facts out loud can get you labeled a bigot. A generation of young men is being formed, deliberately, to distrust their senses and their own God-given design.
We started Full Armour in 2023 because we could no longer stand by and watch what the culture was doing to our young men. Our young men needed to be equipped to respond, not in outrage but in Scripture.
Failed by Churches with the Wrong Focus.
Many young men grow up in churches that never teach them to defend what they believe. They can recite a verse, but they cannot answer a question. When the first challenging objection arises from a professor, a friend, or a stranger online, we see many young men’s faith fold — not because Christianity is false, but because no one ever showed them that it was true, or how to show it.
Failed by Secular Society.
Many young men learn strength and toughness somewhere outside the church entirely, often somewhere with no regard for character at all. They learn to be hard, but nobody taught them why, or what that hardness is for. Strength without guiding principles produces reckless ego. Ego left alone gets people hurt. Additionally, these young men are never taught how to protect those God has placed in their lives.
Full Armour rejects both failures.
We are building young men who can answer the skeptic and stand at the door; men who know the Word and know how to handle a firearm safely and responsibly. Men whose strength is governed by character, and whose character is backed by strength.
Our Core Philosophy
We reject two extremes, and cultivate four convictions in their place.
Reject: Weak, Passive Christianity
Faith with no spine, no answers, no readiness to stand when standing costs something.
Reject: Reckless, Ego-Driven Toughness
Strength with no submission to God, no discipline, no protection for anyone but itself.
Conviction Without Arrogance
Certain of the truth, never preachy.
Strength Under Control
Capability is not the same thing as aggression.
Skill Without Recklessness
Mastery means control, not just capacity.
Confidence Rooted in Christ
Not in ourselves, our guns, or our arguments — but in the One who is actually trustworthy.
The real war isn’t political. It’s spiritual.
The battle young men are fighting today isn’t the one they can see. Behind society’s most devastating outcomes — the normalization of abortion, the confusion sold to a generation about gender and identity, the chemical dependencies destroying families — are ideas with spiritual roots, not merely political or cultural ones. Scripture names the real fight plainly.

They are exactly who we’re called to love — the same way we were loved before anyone showed us the truth. But we will not soften or excuse the ideas themselves. Full Armour trains young men to see this battle clearly: to name the lie without despising the person who believed it, and to stand equipped — discerning, prayerful, and armed not with outrage but with the full armor of God.

Two disciplines.
Every Sunday, Full Armour trains young men in two distinct but related disciplines. The first hour protects the mind and the spirit. The second protects the body and the family. Both demand the same things: humility, discipline, and self-control.
Protect & Defend the Christian Worldview
“But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.”
1 Peter 3:15, NIVPeter doesn’t tell believers to merely feel the hope they have. He tells them to be ready to give a reason for it (the Greek word is logos) — and to do so with gentleness, not arrogance. That’s the mandate behind Hour One.
- Apologetics training — the historical, philosophical, and evidential case for the truth of Christianity
- Logical argument structure — premise, premise, conclusion. Recognizing valid arguments and spotting fallacies
- Responding to secular objections — the problem of evil, science and faith, moral relativism, and the reliability of Scripture
- Biblical foundations and doctrinal clarity — you cannot defend what you do not actually know
Protect & Defend Yourself & Your Family
“After I looked things over, I stood up and said to the leading men, the officials and the rest of the people, ‘Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families, your sons and daughters, your wives and your homes.’”
Nehemiah 4:14, NIVWhen Jerusalem’s wall was under threat, Nehemiah didn’t tell the men to be reckless. He told them to remember the Lord first, then fight, with purpose, for the people entrusted to them. That’s the model for Hour Two.
- Firearms safety and responsibility — the rules that keep everyone on the range and at home alive
- Range discipline and marksmanship fundamentals — stance, grip, sight alignment, trigger control
- Controlled, ethical defensive training — when force is and is not justified, and how to act with restraint under pressure
- Emphasis on character over bravado — a firearm is a tool for protection, never a prop for ego
Statement of Faith
Eight convictions that govern everything Full Armour teaches, in both the apologetics hour and the firearms hour.
Every teacher, mentor, volunteer, and leader in Full Armour affirms the substance of this statement. It governs both halves of our program: the apologetics and worldview instruction of the first hour, and the character formation underlying the firearms safety and defensive training of the second hour. Full Armour does not exist to produce aggression. It exists to produce conviction, clarity, and calm capability in young men who can give a reasoned defense of what they believe, and a responsible defense of those they love.
I. The Scriptures
We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit and is, in the original manuscripts, without error. Scripture alone is the final rule for faith and practice.

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory. This triune nature of God is not a contradiction but a mystery consistent with, and revealed through, the totality of Scripture.

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a substitutionary atonement for sin, rose bodily from the dead on the third day, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return in power and glory.

We believe all people are born sinners, separated from God, and unable to save themselves by works. Salvation is a free gift of God’s grace received through faith alone in the finished work of Jesus Christ. This salvation produces a transformed life that grows in obedience to Christ, not as a means of earning favor with God, but as the fruit of having already received it.

We believe Christianity is not a private feeling but a public truth claim that corresponds to reality, is historically grounded, and can be reasonably defended. Every believer, and young men in particular as they grow toward leadership in the home, church, and community, is called to know what he believes and why he believes it, and to be able to give an answer to honest objections with gentleness, clarity, and respect, never with arrogance or contempt for those who disagree.

We believe every human being is made in the image of God and possesses inherent dignity and worth. Flowing from this conviction, we believe men bear a God-given responsibility to protect the vulnerable, defend their households, and serve their communities, not from a posture of pride or aggression, but from sober love and self-controlled strength. Physical training and firearms instruction within this ministry exist solely to equip young men with the discipline, safety consciousness, and ethical clarity needed to fulfill this God-given protective role, never to cultivate violence, recklessness, or vigilantism.

We believe the goal of Christian manhood is not to be feared but to be trustworthy: a man whose conviction is settled, whose strength is governed, and whose confidence rests not in his own ability but in Christ. Full Armour rejects both passive disengagement from the world and reckless, ego-driven toughness, and instead cultivates calm, capable, humble young men who can stand firm when others cannot.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

We believe Full Armour exists to come alongside, never to replace, the local church and the family. Its mentors and leaders serve under the authority of Scripture and in cooperation with the parents and pastors already responsible for the young men in this program. Full Armour is a discipleship and training ministry, not a church, and does not conduct ordinances, claim ecclesiastical authority, or function as a substitute for a young man’s local congregation.
“These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
